Neurofeedback is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after treatments for ADHD, Anxiety, and more. This is because it does not use medication. Has no side effects. Science proves that it is highly effective.
What can I expect?
First, we identify your brain performance pattern through our specialized evaluation called a QEEG Brain Map. The map will show us the areas that are causing your symptoms. Using the report, we create a specialized program for what YOUR BRAIN needs.
After we develop a plan, we begin to help you train your brain.
Once you are reclined comfortably in a chair, you watch a video and relax. The advanced technology reacts to your brain pattern and plays brighter or dimmer accordingly.
The brain bio-sensors in this system are ‘read-only.’ They DO NOT put anything into your brain. They simply pick up on the brain signals and produce the feedback to help your brain learn to work better. In fact, your brain learns to produce more of the desired brain pattern and less of the undesired one.
Neurofeedback is an exercise for your brain.
Through this simple method, your brain learns how to reduce brain patterns associated with your symptoms. At the same time, it increases brain patterns related to optimal brain function for calm-focus.
This technique is much like physical exercises that strengthen and develop specific muscles of your body. Neurofeedback strengthens your brain’s muscle.
You will see how your brain changed right after your session!
What happens during a Neurofeedback session?
Sessions are approximately 35 – 40 minutes for in-person sessions. Our skilled technicians apply sensors to your scalp, and then the computer system does all the work.
Neurofeedback Therapy capitalizes on Neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to heal itself through this learning process. The brain receives a reward in the form of auditory and visual feedback when it has proper brain signal use. Louder sound is the auditory feedback. At the same time, a brightening of the computer screen visually gives feedback to the person. If the person’s brain does not use the new better brain pattern, the audio decreases and the screen becomes dim. This is the lack of a reward. When the brain is using the new, better pattern the screen plays brighter and audio louder. In this way, the brain learns to improve its performance by working for the rewards and avoid the negative feedback.
What is a Neurofeedback Session Like?
Sessions are quite pleasant. Once you are reclined comfortably in a chair you watch a video and relax. The advanced technology reacts to your brain pattern and plays brighter or dimmer accordingly. The brain bio-sensors are ‘read only’. They DO NOT put anything into your brain. They simply pick up on the brain signals and produce the feedback to help your brain learn to work better. In fact, your brain learns to produce more of the desired brain pattern and less of the undesired one.
Through this simple method, your brain learns how to reduce brain patterns associated with low performance that creates problems like ADHD and anxiety. At the same time, it increases brain patterns associated with optimal brain function for calm-focus. This technique is much like physical exercises that strengthen and develop specific muscles of your body. Neurofeedback strengthens your brain’s muscle. The more your brain is exercised it reaches a new, healthier, stronger performance pattern. Like any new skill, it simply requires feedback and practice.
How you will know Neurofeedback is working? We have data to show you measurable improvement.
Improvement is measurable. The first signs of improvement are better thinking, feeling, and behavior emotional and self-regulation improve. You set goals, with the your providers at NeuroWave, at the beginning of your program. Your behaviors will improve. However, Neurofeedback Therapy is measurable at NeuroWave because of the use of the highest grade equipment that exists. We can measure your results throughout your therapy program.
Each visit for Neurofeedback Therapy records a performance graph of your brain functioning. Thus, you can see within each session and across sessions if indeed your brain signals and brain pattern are changing. With the change in pattern comes relief of symptoms.
Who Uses Neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback Therapy is used by professionals around the world. Children with learning challenges are seeing gains in behavior and performance as they organize and stabilize their brain patterns.
Because it is not harmful at all and it improves focus, productivity, and stress many peak performers in all fields are now using and endorsing neurofeedback. Tony Robbins, multi-millionaire business man, musicians at the Royal Conservatory in London, the Women’s Olympic volleyball team (Kerri Walsh Jennings and Misty May Trainor), NBA player Chris Kaman, and the entire Vancouver Canucks hockey team are just a few to mention. Neurofeedback helps them stay calm under pressure, tap into their creativity, and implement the necessary strategies so they can succeed.
You will be working one-on-one with the professionals at NeuroWave who will monitor and assist your progress, working with you to assure the best results.

“The literature, which lacks any negative study of substance, suggests that EEG biofeedback therapy should play a major therapeutic role in many difficult areas. In my opinion, if any medication had demonstrated such a wide spectrum of efficacy, it would be universally accepted and widely used.”
